Round The World 2013-2014

When Katie’s cousin came to stay with us in late 2011, we were only a stopping point on a much longer journey. She was mid round-the-world trip, the kind of trip where you don’t know what country you’ll be in the following week. We were in awe of her courage.

For months we turned over the possibility of our own round-the-world trip — Could we afford it? What would we pack? Could two inexperienced female travelers accomplish such a massive adventure?

Before long, “if” turned into “when.” In 2013, we sold our things and left our home with no idea when we would return. Were we freaked out? Totally. Were we alive with excitement? Absolutely.
